My nameis Emanuela, I wasborn in a Christian family. By going always to the evangelical meetings and by knowing many things about Jesus, I felt right before God. At the age of 12, during my school time, I began to have doubts in my heart, wondering: “Why have I to be different from the others? Who can assure me that Jesus is the Truth?” At the same time, a voice in me spoke, saying: “What will happen to you, when Jesus comes to take all the believers?”.
There was like a fight in me. The time went by and reading the Bible every night with my mom, my brother and my sister I gradually understood that God loved me and that I lived because I had been planned by Him, and now I’m sure of it. When I was 14, I went on my first biblical camp in Ispica (Sicily). Daniele Martella told us to seat around, in order to let us know each other better. Everybody could tell his own witness. I realized that many other young people used to wonder the same things I did. That night there was something special; it was great to see all that youth which had just the same person in their own hearts: Jesus Christ. We felt God’s presence among us. When there came my turn in the circle, I began to sweat, and I blushed, because I had no idea of what to say. I cried and all of a sudden somebody prayed out loud. That night I accepted Jesus in my heart as my personal Saviour. I soon felt that if Jesus had come back that night, I would have gone with Him, in Heaven. Since that day, my life hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows. There have been highs and lows, but God has always given me the strength to go on. At the age of 18 I got baptized, testifying with joy to my brothers and sister in Christ, that I was part of them. Now I have a great husband and two wonderful kids. God helped me and guided me, He blessed me in everything I did because I learned to put everything in His hands. You know, decide to who you want to give your life is up to you! My answer was to the One who gave His life for all of us! If you haven’t made this step yet, you really should do it, to discover how beautiful is to have Jesus in your heart, before it’s too late..
