Hello everybody, my name is Silvia, I’m 35. I was born and raised in a catholic family. In 2002 my husband and I’ve been invited to spend a Saturday in the Evangelical Church. What shocked me the most was to see how the believers prayed and sang to the Lord, pretty much different from the way I was accustomed to in the Catholic church. So we began to attend the evangelical meetings and this way, by listening to the preachers, reading the Bible and talking with my husband when we’re on our own, I gained knowledge of the Holy Truth.

1 John 4:9 This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.

Luke 19:10  “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

I don’t know when precisely that moment happened, but the Lord opened my eyes. As years passed, my faith stopped for a while, both because I read the Bible very little and I thought maternity could fill the emptiness I felt in my heart. We waited about two and a half years and then the Lord made the impossible be possible, giving us our very much desired son. We’re so thankful to the Lord, we couldn’t do anything but call him Samuel, which means “I asked God for him”.Nonetheless, I felt the emptinesswasstillthere. I had no peace. I knew how to fillit, putting God in the first place in my life, to do His will, loving Him with all myself. I wanted to be like an eagle, flying free in the skies, but I was a kite, a half in the sky and the other half attached to a thread, in the world. I had to make a decision: being with the Lord or with the world.

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. Youcannot serve bothGod and money.”

So, I finally asked the Lord to cut that thread. Now I can truly be like an eagle, flying free in the sky.

Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

I want all the world to know that Jesus is my Lord and Savior, that I want to serve Him with all my strength and I don’t want to keep this truth only for myself anymore, I want to let everybody know about it.
